The consolidated Digital TV Tower on Lookout Mountain is now broadcasting a digital signal to Colorado’s Front Range. The new tower brings the benefits of Digital TV and HDTV to viewers in the Denver Metro Area. The site has been home to Denver’s broadcast transmissions for more than 50 years. With the advent of Digital TV, the Lake Cedar Group of stations, Channels 4, 7, 9 and 20, have come together to operate the single tower for Digital TV. Congress has set a date for the conversion to Digital TV in February of 2009. After that time, analog broadcasts will cease transmission.
